Book Club
Book Club meets once a month on Thursday nights to discuss books that the group has chosen to read. Books cover a wide range of reading level and genres including biography, fiction, mystery, self-help, adaptations of classic novels, and self-help. The group is led by an Alameda Reads learner and tutor, and all tutors and learners are welcome to come. Free copies of the Book Club book of the month are available at the Alameda Reads office.
One of the Book Club leaders says, "Alameda Reads program motivates me to read many different types of books which I might not have read on my own. It's very interesting to listen to other readers' different point of view of the books at our discussion classes."
