MAKE NEW FRIENDS AT THE LIBRARY!

Have you recently moved to the area? Are you finding it difficult to make friends after college? Do you just need some new friends to hang out with? Join us at the library and meet some potential pals.

The Alameda Free Library, 1550 Oak Street, will host a Fast Friends program for adults on Saturday, August 27 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. The Fast Friends program will allow you to talk to new people in the style of speed dating. You can move around the tables and meet a new person at every stop.

Meeting friends can be difficult, but the library will provide a welcoming and open space to talk with new people. The library will also provide refreshments, ice-breakers, games, and activities to do with your new friends. This program is for adults, ages 18+, only.

This program is part of “Made in Alameda” an initiative that aims to engage adults socially and intellectually while reinforcing a sense of community and pride in Alameda.

Please call the Main Library Reference Desk at 510-747-7713 for any questions.
