Get Crafty and Tacky at the Library
The holiday season can be stressful when there’s pressure to have perfect decorations and presents--but the library is challenging you to have a tacky holiday season! Join us to make tacky, ugly, and just plain bad decorations and gifts out of craft supplies and recycled materials.
On Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 PM, the Alameda Free Library will host a Bad Art program for teens and adults, ages 13 and up, at the Main Library at 1550 Oak Street.
We’ll supply feathers, glitter, rhinestones, tinsel, and recycled materials to help you bring out your inner tacky artist. Artistic abilities and skills are not necessary. Come make tacky, ugly, and bad decorations and presents while enjoying refreshments and meeting new people. At this no-pressure event, we hope you’ll leave your good taste at home and do your best bad work. At the end of the event you’ll have something truly awful to take home.
Please call the Main Library Reference Desk at (510) 747-7713 with any questions.
