Records

Records personnel respond to requests for copies of police reports and other official documents received from private citizens, insurance companies and public agencies.

The Records Section processes records-related inquiries, civil and criminal subpoenas, provides statistical compilation for the California Department of Justice and FBI, and processes vehicle tows and impound releases.  The Section also distributes District Attorney disposition forms, processes employment clearance letters, and collects miscellaneous police-related fees.

Hours
The Records Section is open Monday - Thursday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. to serve the public. We are closed on Fridays and Holidays.

Traffic Collision Reports
Persons involved in, or having sustained property damage due to, a traffic collision may be entitled to a copy of the report. Traffic collision reports are available at the APD Records counter Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
